 HellRaisers vs  Vega Squadron @bo3

(16:12 @inferno, 19:16 @dust2)

In this evening our CS:GO roster was playing only one match, but this meeting would determine a fate of the champion title at 99Damage Arena 15. The fact that it was a real CIS derby made this match even more interesting, since HellRaisers' rivals were the Vega Squadron team. The first map, inferno, was the rival's choice, and a win on it was important not only from the perspective of getting points.

It all started quite rapidly — HellRaisers took a pistol round, and then got a few more points. However, Vega did brace up themselves and catch up the opponents. The rounds exchange would last to the end of the first half that ended with a minimal advantage of our team. After the side switching the speed of the game did not change: the teams were going head to head, but HellRaisers were the ones to catch the rival on making mistakes and to take the key rounds. The final score of the first map is 16:12 in HellRaisers' favor.

The second map was classic dust2. Despite the fact that it was our guys' pick, Vega Squadron managed to take six rounds in a row at the beginning of the game, but HellRaisers made a mini comeback and by the end of the first half took seven rounds that is thought to be a good result on dust2 for the defense side. After the side switching the intrigue was not going down — Firstly HellRaisers brought the game to the overtime periods, then let Vega bring down the score to the minimum. The fate of the whole match would be decided in the thirteenth round — if HellRaisers had won, they would have become champions, otherwise they would have to play additional rounds. At the overtimes our team started on the defense side and quite confidently took two rounds, and then managed to push the matter through after switching to the attack side.

 Sergey «lmbt» Bezhanov, the team's coach's comment:

«We were playing with the Russian Vega team. The guys showed their willingness to win, so, they deserve a serious respect, at least. The match was some kind of training for us against the CIS style which we had forgotten a little. We have many different CIS qualifiers ahead, and it is very good that we've seen what the teams from this region are capable of. GG WP
