This season, organizers of the tournament have announced the new format, in which teams have to play in the GSL system (double-elimination). Each team may lose only once. Two victories are enough to get out from the group. Two teams who win in group fierce battles will take part in LAN Finals in Kiev CyberSport Arena, that are planned for 19-21 June. The prize fund of the championship is $50,000, also the organizers have allocated $18,000 for travel-support.
Only eight teams will reach the second group stage, which is to be divided into two groups with four teams in each one. As well as in the previous stage of the tournament, they will play matches in GSL system with the best-of-three format. It’s noteworthy that to reach LAN Finals teams have to win only one match. Following the results of this fight, six best teams will go to the final stage in Kiev CyberSport Arena. It will run from June 19-21. The prize fund is $50,000, and for travel-support the organizations have allocated $18,000.
