The Polish city Katowice second time in the history gathers 16 the strongest teams of world CS:GO scene; they will fight for the prize pool of quarter of million dollars. Last year, Spodek Arena saw the triumph of home team Virtus.pro, but name of the future winner nobody dares to predict.
HellRaisers are among the participants at the tournament. Our boys got into the group C, where they will fight for play-offs against Ninjas in Pyjamas, the finalists of all previous Valve tournaments, young and ambitious Americans from Counter-Logic Gaming and unpredictable Brazilians from Keyd Stars.
Regulations
Tournament consists of the group stage and the Single Elimination play-offs. In the groups we will see usual for Valve tournaments GSL-system, which reminds Double Elimination brackets. In order to proceed into the next stage, teams would need to win twice. It will be hard to complete, considering the fact that all matches inside the quartets are played on the single map (bo1). In the play-offs all matches are bo3.
