HellRaisers [16:13] Astralis @Overpass
The first match of the day was a meeting with Astralis on Overpass. Our team started pretty well and after a short while got a 7:1 score in its favor. The Danes had won back a little by the side switching and got six points in total. They managed to bridge the gap in the second half and even set a temporary draw, 13:13, though HellRaisers did push the matter through and won the first map.
HellRaisers [7:16] FaZe Clan @Overpass
The last match would decide the fate of the first place in the group stage. FaZe Clan started with a nine round streak. HellRaisers in turn responded with a series of six wins. After the side switching, HellRaisers won a pistol round, but lost the initiative in the second round and couldn't earn any more points.
Coach of team HellRaisers.CS:GO, Ivan "Johnta" Shevtsov's comment:
«We knew we'd play Overpass today, since we had beaten Fnatic and Liquid on Inferno yesterday.
We could've won the first map with a much better store, but made mistakes on the CT side and lost 2-3 rounds, which we should've taken. We lost the rival's force round on the T side after a won pistol round. However, luckily, we did win our rounds in the end and closed the map. Such games teach us a lot.
We started badly in the match with FaZe. The guys weren't focused enough and started making up new things during the game for some reason, which changed micro moments and timings. As a result, we lost the advantage in situations where we should've had one.
After losing with a 0:9 score, we took a not bad streak, but then lost the enemy's force by mistake, for which we'd been ready. Then we lost the game due to the lack of confidence. There are mistakes, we'll work on them. Thank you all, see you in the playoff!»
